I detested Bus Route 161 until Saturday March 17th 2018 when it passed back to Stagecoach Selkent after 24 years and 5 days. As it terminated at North Greenwich, close to the London Borough of Newham in East London through the Blackwall tunnel and Metrobus wasn’t that appropriate for the route. I don’t at all mind Metrobus going to other places in South-East Inner London, but North Greenwich is close to Newham and it is not really a place in South-Eastern London anymore. Why couldn’t TFL move it to London Central instead de-escalating it to Metrobus? Metrobus is for South-East London and North Greenwich is not really a place in South-East London as it has the Blackwall tunnel that connects to Newham.
